CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW YOU WOULD PROGRAM A MOTOROLA TYPE 11 SMARTNET. IS THAT UHF, VHF OR 800MHZ STANDARD OR 800MHZ SPLINTER? tHANX

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.
To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.
The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

If your talking 508.2125... Thats UHF...
If your talking 155.6175... Thats VHF...
Also would help to know what kind of scanner your dealing with????

scanner or actual radio?
Umm looking at his posts regarding "truck id" and referring to ARC software..... its a scanner. 
I think he was talking about ARC246 in another thread, so maybe he wants to program a system in a BC 246?

There is also an Motorola Type I for a Casino that is unmapped yet.
An Hybrid Motorola 800 for the Hilton
So Cal Ed's got an Type II Smartzone 800....
Then you have the NV State systems.....
Ones an EDACS 800, the other a Type II Motorola Smartzone.

There is also an Motorola Type I for a Casino that is unmapped yet.

I didn't mention enough huh. Ok I'm learning here. First time ever scanning been doing it for two day's limited in time too. But I can program edacs, and this motorola ll I figured out that was in the SACRAMENTO area. I did convensional it is all easy. There are still somethings I don't know yet of course but It is easier than I first thought. I am using a BC246T and yes here in the Reno area accept when traveling. Thanx for all your input and help there.

Its just easier to help when we have a better picture of what you need help with... A broad cry for help makes it hard to assist as the hobby is so big ...
