Hi guys Im new to this site and have a few questions. I just purchased 5 Motorola handheld radios (XPR-7550's) and 1 portable Motorola XPR 4580 for my truck. The 3 hand helds (xpr7550's) have all the same channels programmed into them and can communicate between them. The portable one (XPR4580) is locked to 1 channel and of course it isnt a channel i can communicate to from my handhelds. I have the USB cables for both radios and im wondering how i go about re programming them all to work with eachother. Thanks in advance

You need a copy of the CPS (available from MOL as a $180, 3 year subscription). The XPR4580 will never directly talk to the XPR7550's as it is an 800/900 MHz radio.

I have quite a few different bundles of software for my type of radios, but when I try to connect to the radios via USB cable, an error comes up saying it's the wrong region. Do you have a link where I can purchase the correct software? . Also, Are you 100% sure about the 4580 not being able to communicate with the 7550is?? The last job site I was on, it was able to.

If it's labled XPR4580 it's an 800/900 MHz radio. Now there is another version of the XPR7500 called the XPR7580 which is the 800/900 MHz version of the radio. Also, an XPR7550 can be either VHF or UHF (the actual model number on the back plane will tell you which) but it can't be both.

What version of the CPS are you using and what are your actual model number on your radios?

7550/7580s etc are North American region radios... if you are getting a region error from the CPS when I'm betting you have CPS from another region. If you legitimately purchased the CPS thru Motorola in USA/Canada then I'd be contacting them to see whats up. The other option is that someone has flashed the radios to another region.
