Yes it does rocky mountain power in utah uses it, there is also trunkview that uses it

I used to monitor using trunkido - very stable but not much features - more real time viewing .

The cool thing about MPT1327 when using sound card based decoding software is - you can use speaker audio. You do not need a discriminator tap. Any radio that can tune to the control channel will work.

SDRTrunk decodes this very well, off the control channel. But you do need to have the correct channel freq map loaded for the system you are wanting to monitor.
