New to scanning but done lots of research and experimenting and got SDRTrunk picking up this MRC system and monitoring successfully.
I’m getting different LCN's than what’s listed (looking in the site detail under “details” in SDRTrunk).
I’m wondering if anyone knows whether site 1 (Palmerston) is actually 420.6875 rather than .4875?
RR lists this frequency as Fleet Connect , but last update was 2016. I’m getting a real strong signal from .6875 but nothing from .4875 and I’m close enough that I should get something (I get Minto, Conn, Arthur and sometimes Mt Forest depending on conditions).
Am I going about any of this the wrong way?

According to my calculations based on the LCN calculator program, 420.6875 is the control channel, and 420.4875 may be a voice channel.

CHs 1069 / 1070, 1069 divided by 2 is LCN 534, freq 420.6875.

We know now that 420.6875 is the CC based on what you are observing, then that means these others must be voice channels.

Thanks! I thought as much regarding the control channel. Is the neighbouring network/site/LCN info from SDRTrunk accurate you think? I saw different LCN info there than the RadioReference database that I could post if helpful?

So last night I wasn’t home but received some calls on the .6875 Palmerston cc.
However looks like sdrtrunk didn’t have any audio come through, perhaps my LCN (534) is incorrect? No frequency was assigned to the calls.Screen Shot 2024-07-06 at 8.03.17 AM.png

In your Palmerston configuration you need more than just the control channel.
You need to have all four frequencies, with appropriate LCN's.

You need to list them under the "Decoder DMR" section below where it says "Logical Channel Number (LCN) to Frequency Map"

Add four channels. Then click on each one to edit it, setting:

502 420.2875
510 420.3875
518 420.4875
534 420.6875

and be sure to save it.

When you are done it'll look something like the screenshot. And you'll also want 420.4875 and 420.6875 listed in Source --> Frequencies section since they are both known to be control channels.

Based upon the fact that the licensed freqs are known for Palmerston, and the LCN calculations match up with the 502 / 510 / 518 LCNs that you are seeing when you are monitoring the 420.6875 (534 LCN) control channel, you should submit your findings to the DB so that an admin can update the DB for that site and list all four frequencies<>LCN pairings instead of just the one that Palmerston currently has.
