It's been a lot of years since I had a scanner. I found this one at an unbeatable deal so I bought it. I also have a RS800 antenna.
It's a good scanner but I can't get it to decode all transmissions from Lee Co. MSWIN. It's getting about 65%.
I have set the thresholds to 15 and 95. The DSP is at 54. I read these are good starting points in these forums. However if I move them it gets worse. When it doesn't decode properly the signal bar as well as the whole top line in the display blinks.
I have two sites. One is Saltillo and one is South Tupelo. Here's where the questions start lol.
I have all frequencies in the trunk locked out except the control frequencies in the iscan software. Is this correct? Also, do I need both sites? I'm closest to Saltillo and get full signal meter when transmissions start. The worst is Tupelo PD and Lee Co So. MHP and Lee Fire and EMS are good.
