MSWIN UIDs

Ok to help in the ID'g of the MSWIN UIDs (RIDs) to Unit Level (any Co so unit 1 has Radio with Serial # 1234).

I have begun to list the UIDs that I have already so that we all could benefit from them and also maybe get some help on IDing the ones of them that have Id'd.

Ok I have finished the loading of my MSWIN UIDs to the Wiki Section.


Now your mission is If you accept it.

AC0RV, what do you use the UIDs for? I understand what they are but don't know why I'd want to track them.

on scanners like the 436 & 536 hp and similar scanners. UID stands for Unit Identiication Digits (number) such Desoto Co SO unit 1234)).

The scanner will allow you to see who is talking on what tgid. Such as for example. "Desoto County Sheriff Dispatch on their TGID talking Desoto Co SO unit 1.

I guess this would be beneficial when interoperability channels are being used. 99% of the time a SO deputy is using his home TG so I haven't personally had a reason to track the UIDs. Thanks for the info.
