Just bought 2 mts2k's and a cloning cable, however after following cloning instructions from RR wiki, I am unable to clone radio from a working radio. the source radio and target radio have same model number and flashcode. model number - h01ucf6pw1bn (on all radios) flscd - 000008-000000-2 (on all radios)
The procedure i am following is...
both radios off, connect cloning cable to both, turn on target radio, press ptt and monitor on source radio and hold while turning on, at this point the radios are supposed to display cloning and green led is supposed to turn on, however all that happens is back-light turns on and radio attempts to transmit.
This happens no matter what radio is source or target and attempting between the new radios same result. after scratching my head and dozens of attempts with a LOT of radios and several days of research on here as well as other forums I am unable to find anyone else with this problem, or even anyone talking about cloning cables.
Am I missing something here or can I not clone these radios in this fashion? I am new to this whole radio thing, although I have been using them for my public safety job for several years, so any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
