Just go to about any store and look to see what one would work best for you.

Not a bad idea ksabo.

If you're using mobile units at home you might also want to look at this:
http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/hamps/2231.html

You'll need to provide your own power supply and make sure that you have the 12-volt harness for the radio(s) you'll be hooking up. After that all you need to do is order the connectors to splice/solder onto your harness(es) and you're in business.

I have five scanner radios. Would some one suggest a power outlet that would hold this many scanner ac cords?

I would go high tech and buy a UPS with 6 outlets - 5 for the scanners and one for a lamp.

I listen to 3 to 5 on a regular basis, and swtich on more if something good happens. I would guess that most people do a similar thing that I do: It is easy to pick out one scanner to focus on and ignore the others, but I sample the others for something out of the ordinary. I don't really listen to the words, I listen to voice patterns and emotion. Its hard to describe - it is sort of a 'Zen' thing. If you are not relaxed, it is difficult to do.

I work typing all day.
One on-line scanner going, 2 here at the house, TV on, 2 year old running around and still catching it all.

Its just a learned thing.
