Super neat and Super nice!

The lack of visible wiring is a credit to you!

A great professional looking installation!
Any antenna pictures?

Regards, Commscanaus.

Thank you ALL for the compliments!

Whats the network phone for may I ask? lol

I assume you mean the large black phone in the first photo? That was part of the old Lucent PBX (phone system) however that has since been replaced with a more residential Panasonic PBX.

Very nice project outcome. Looks like some painting, drywall, and rewiring went into the effort in addition to the granite and cabinetry. I absolutely admire your attention to detail in putting an alarm panel in the office. Wish I had that.

ETA: what did you do with the Cat5/6 panel for data/voice? Where does that terminate in the house? Wouldn't mind seeing your wiring closet if you are setup that way.

Thank you! Yes, alot of work all around. The keypad is actually for the whole house alarm system. It just gives an indication anytime an exterior zone is opened or closed. Thought about adding a partition to the current system for just the office for temperature monitoring etc but I have not gotten around to it. I have uploaded a handfull of photos for you since you seem to like the "infrastructure" end. The "wiring closest" needs some work (perhaps over the winter) I have all but a few of the Data Cat5's coiled up waiting for a new termination point right now just a few wireless wireless routers and a modem. I also included a few photos of the alarms for you and such like that.

Hope you enjoy the attached photos.

When my wife and I buy our next home, I am going to take the time to do basically as you have: to build in the data networks, switching modules, home alarm panel, and radio/tv blocks all in one central distribution area. As it stands right now, I don't have the connectivity to support all my activities from my office. I can work and place calls but no data and no coax connections to the HAM antennas, nor can I determine at a glance what zone has been opened if the alarm trips.

You have A LOT of twisted pair on that block. I was under the impression that your home office is in the photos? Either you've lots of phones or lots of data ports throughout the house. Your fire panel is rather commercial looking too. Bravo -- can't be too overbuilt on either front IMO.

All in all, very, very impressive squirrel25. Thank you for taking the time to share.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed the photos.

The photos of my "office" are on the first page of this thread not on the above link. Every room in the house consists of at least one keystone style jack with 1 data jack, 1 PBX, jack and 3 plain dialtone lines (all which feed the PBX) It was wired so you could grab plain dialtone off the PBX in any room, as well as one CATV jack. The fire alarm is a commercial Addressable Fire Lite system IMO works better than wasting zones on the security system, adding expansion modules slows the system down. With that system you get pin point information on the cause of the alarm and the location.
