Hi Tom,

Typing in all capital letters is the online equivalent of yelling at a person in real life. Not good etiquette.

As for your question, @gmclam beat me to it.

If scan lists are enabled and you still get Nothing to Scan, please attach you PSREdit500 programming file so we can take a look at it. You will need to zip the file to be able to attach it. Click on Attach files and open the zipped file.

Caps or no caps let's just try and help the OP. Seriously if caps offend you, just move onto a mostly lowercase thread, plenty to choose from. (I make no apologies for ending the preceding sentence in a preposition either ;) ) Anyway....

I GET NOTHING TO SCAN. SO HELP!
Have you turned on at least one scan list containing what you're looking to scan?

A bit more info would be good to determine if it is a user issue, programming issue, electrical issue or something outside your control.
Did anything happen where you needed to reload the scanner such as loss of programming?
Did the system change that you are aware of such as change to encryption, phase 2 or DMR?
Do you hear any other users like the weather channels?

Looking at Texas Wide Area Radio Network (TxWARN) Trunking System, Various, Texas
Under MODE if it’s D or T it’s in the clear, De or Te sometimes clear, sometimes encrypted, DE or TE is always encrypted(no scanner can get.)

There are quite few listed under MODE T -Phase II, that your scanner cannot get, since yours is a phase I only radio.

There are quite a few radio site towers that are listed as simulcast - That is multiple towers using the same frequencies, talkgroups, etc.
Radio most likely will have difficulty in those situations. The pricey SDS Unidens will work great for that and is Phase II.

If all of the scan lists are turned off, you will get a Nothing Enabled message. If you have the scan lists turned on and you get that message or you are unable to turn on scan lists, it sounds like a programming error. I don't know if the database will prevent downloading of encrypted or phase 2 talkgroups for that series of scanners. Ronaldski will be able to answer that question. Even if the sites are simulcast and talkgroups are encrypted or phase 2, that will not give a Nothing Enabled message. It sounds like a programming error. That is why I need you to attach your PSREdit500 programming file so we can take a look at it. You will need to zip the file to be able to attach it. Click on Attach files and open the zipped file. Are you sure the programming file is uploaded to the scanner? The scanner display will show the percentage of the file transferred while uploading. Are you plugged into the PC/IF jack and not the headphone jack? If your cable has a mono adapter on the end, remove it. The PRO-197 requires a stereo plug.
