RID of 653xxxx or NAC of $653 ??
IF RID we would need to know what Freq and NAC - At this time there is no common
uniformity for RID's with Federal agencies, only within Federal Agencies do we see "some" patterns

The NAC of $653 has been observed in use by multiple agencies

NAC $653 has been seen as the input NAC for the BATFE NET-3 Repeater
NAC $653 has also been seen/used on the Federal Interop Channels

OK - so now the questions becomes
338xxxx on which Frequency using $653, is this the NYC FIO or BATFE frequencies

IF the FIO, I would try and sit/log that freq during the Roll Call and you may get an idea
of which NY/NJ Area Federal agency is using 338xxxx - keep in mind as others have indicated and my
experience here in Boston is altho they are called during Roll Call, many never answer, nor monitor.

I've always found part of the fun in this hobby is listening and figuring it out, this takes time and patience, but it is also very rewarding. Thanks @ecps92 for providing a map along the road, but now it's time for a treasure hunt.

As I mentioned in another post. Here in Florida FPS is using Nac 201 while talking to Mega Centers and Nac 270 as a Local Repeater. Not sure if every city uses the 270,but it seems the Local Repeaters would be in the 200 range (Other than 201).

That would be the FIO for NJ/NY - so it could be from any number of two, three, four and five letter agencies


And a WAG, Dave has seen 338xxxx on a $167 freq for NYC, maybe someone traveling into the area for a mission (TDY)
or never turned in his VA Radio for a NY Radio

In the Raleigh area they used to use 201 but apparently now only are using 270, as I no longer have seen 201 (after 3 weeks of solid monitoring)

Well I have a vendor demo sheet that they neglected to edit out the Nac's, Location of repeaters,and Frequencies out for my city. It shows Mega Centers at 201 and My City's Local Repeater as Nac 270 and I get both nacs in use. They linked My City to the rest of Florida to talk on 201 Nac. Maybe it's just Florida or they changed things for your areas. I would say 7 or 8 years since they upgraded Florida.Also Florida seems to be using 410.800 for the whole state.

I used to get slammed by 408.2 n270 in Central Islip NY. Lately 408.2 seems inactive but I get slammed with 406.2 n270. Same radio ID's I logged on 408.2 are in use 406.2. Had 408.2 running the last few hours and not one hit. Gonna let it run longer.

I have had it running for the last 3.5 hours in DSDPlus but I was not here. I do not see that it generated a wav file so I cant say anything about clear voice. Did catch one radio id of 21508. Below is all the was logged over the 3.5 hours. If you receive regular activity, its possible you might be receiving something other than FAA in NYC but you did report grp: 26 and 2150 and I logged radio id 21508. So I am wondering if your receiver has a setting for how many characters of a radio id it will display.

They may have updated your area recently! Keep that 408.200 in just incase they use it as a car to car ch..

Marcy,
It may not of been submitted yet by anybody in your area.Check the State Page for little boxes that say Federal or go to your County Page and look for the Wiki link for Your County. If not there You can submit it to the Database,because it's the user's who supply the info.

406.2 is not in db for anything near what we would receive. I will take a stroll to the courthouse in the next few days to verify its coming from there. This seems new or part of a switch.
