FWIW, this is also happening to me. I am using an Icom IC-PCR2500's discriminator tap. Exact same results. I'm going to have to go back and see if I still have "kNACk 1" around.

Just download it again from post #18 ! <cool>

Good luck.

KNACK1 is what works for me with my BC890XLT. No go with the newer version.

kNACk really needs a buffer amplifier placed between the discriminator and soundcard. unfortunately without this the soundcard places a load on the discriminator IC that distorts the waveform and introduces errors into the signal which cause the issues people see here.

Cheers,
Matt

I tried kNACk 2 with packet output of FT-7800 - no luck :(

Has made discriminator tap on mobile Kenwood transceiver (FM IF done based on TK14489V integrated circuit).

kNACk 2 works with Kenwood! But... kNACk captures NAC on the first transmission only :( To do capture of other transmission, it is necessary to reload kNACk.

It looks as program bug, because after kNACk reloading capture occurs guaranteed within 1 second after PTT pressing.

Dear Unitrunker, whether you can investigate the reasons of such behaviour kNACk and whenever possible fix them?

P.S.
And a wish - whether you add history (event logger) into kNACk? Very simple text file with time and the captured NAC will be enough.

I have a FT-7800 too and tried using audio from the rear connector with no luck.
I tried using both the 1200 and 9600 baud pins. It doesn't seem to be real unfiltered baseband discriminator audio. Neither one would work with LTR Analyzer or UniTrunker.

WORKS FINE ON MY 7800... COMPUTER AUDIO SLIDER MAY NEED ADJUSTMENT ??
MENU 26 ON 7800 SET TO 9600 AND USE CORRECT PIN ON DIN OUTPUT CONNECTOR
9600 AND 1200 HAVE SEPARATE OUTPUTS....

Ooops, menu was in 1200 BPS position.

Will try again with FT-7800!

knack1 will decode NAC on a Type II TRS, but not on a conventional P25 frequency/channel.

knack2 will not decode anything.

Any help here? I'm using "line in" and have adjusted the input volume from min to max and still can't get a decode on the P25 conventional stuff. While adjusting the input volume, the NAC for the TRS always decodes.

TIA

Im using kNACk 1 and 2 with no troubles. im off the discriminator with a .01 cap in series for dc blocking. If you use the scope function you can confirm that you have some type of input.
