Our dispatch switched over to narrowband this past Monday. with our fire radios programmed in NBFM we can not even get back to dispatch. If I change the radios back to WBFM then we can get back to the repeater. any ideas? what is the next move..We will probably try 5/8 wave antennas on the trucks rather than the 1/4 waves on them now. We surely dont have funds for a voter receiver..
Thanks

Did the Repeater get swapped out or reprogrammed for Narrowband ??
if not that would be the first issue/problem

yes everything was changed over on Monday.. repeaters & dispatch. I just guessing its a loss of range after using my friend google. it tells me that it is not uncommon for 20% loss of range. I will try a Diamond 5/8 wave antenna I have for a test. I feel like this is going to be an ongoing problem for our county, unless they install voter receivers like out neighbor county had to do..thx for all the input and ideas anyone has..
