Written by someone who didn't have all the facts straight. The FCC mandate does not affect NTIA Federal licensees, only Part 90 FCC-licensed stations.

"Interagency Coordination. The narrowbanding mandate necessitates coordination among municipal, county, state, tribal, and federal partners to ensure continued interoperability. All FCC Part 90 Private Land Mobile Radio Licensees operating in VHF (150-174) and UHF (421-512) are impacted by the FCC mandate. Municipal, county, state, tribal and federal agencies must complete their administrative licensing and programming of radios in compliance with this mandate before the FCC deadline"
No where in this did they indicate NTIA Licenses. In the State of Maine, there are many Tribal and Federal Agencies using Part 90 frequencies and State of Maine is making all efforts to indicate that EVEN the FEDS are not exempt from the Part 90 rebanding.
