Since 26th of June I've noticed that Nashua is not using 151.2500 to tone out fire apparatus. They are using 853.4500 as the new channel. I cannot confirm if it's permanent or temporarily.

Could be that they are servicing the VHF channel. It wouldn't make sense to discontinue it since it helps out during mutual aid situations when surrounding towns need to talk with Nashua FD.

853.4500 is one of the control channels for the Nashua TRS.

Nashua Fire does not simulcast on 151.25. They in most cases when dispatching they multi-select the proper dispatch talkgroup and 151.25. So it could just be the dispatcher forgot to multi-select the VHF or it could be down for maintenance as mentioned.

Also the VHF Fireground patch is only online during multiple alarm fires.

I know recently another town was doing counting no idea what town. My guess is Nashua is working on 151.250 so that doesn't happen and in the mean time they use 853.4500.

Talked to someone at Nashua Fire today. 151.250 (and 154.325 when needed) are still actively in service and operating.

853.4500 is part of the Trunk not a stand-alone frequency.

Just an FYI--
Nashua's vhf freq is still active as of 9:08 P.M..tonight
151.250--103.5

I have heard it too recently although I don't pay much attention to it since I'm listening on the 800MHz TRS. In recent months I've noticed the signal strength to be a bit on the weak side. Audio is OK but I don't hear it everywhere like I used to. I'm thinking about deleting it from my scanners since I listen on the 800MHz TRS.

last night was 1 of those open nights..
Unless the airwaves are closed,
I usually just scan entities I am waiting to hear on..
And last night I went thru (scanned) all my entities in Me,and NH..
They hit me,
so i investigated whether or not it was in any doubt..
And here we are
