Anyone know if the national mutual aid vhf/uhf freqs are available here in the Mid-Atlantic area? I suspect not, as yet. The data is below.

The frequencies shown in this plan are available for assignment to all Government agencies to satisfy intermittent law enforcement and public safety incident response requirements. Non-Government agencies may use these frequencies only in cooperation with agencies of the Federal Government.

All is correct but the aplha-tags are "Inop" not "LE" example "VHF Inop-1" & "UHF Inop 1" and that is per govt document# DA 01-1621 Released: July 13, 2001

Interop plans

OK a couple of points. First there are two sets of VHF and UHF plans
One is the law enforcement plan which you have listed and the second in the Incident Response plan, which is a whole different set. Second, when it says government its referrring to Federal Government not State and local agencies. As a local agency you must recieve approval to use these, in conjunction with Federal agencies and authority can be given based on the incident or issue. There is a nice 2 page long attachment about issues, authority etc. etc.
If you want freqs that can be utilized by State and Local... 155.475, 155.3700, 154.950 , are some, they vary by name..but 475 is a national law enforcement interagency freq. Its also in US Govt radios... and there are also fire commons and frequencies in both lowband and UHF that are designated for nationwide use. Also the 800 MHZ channels.
Now as to the reason you won't hear traffic is that they are usually either not turned on in large metro areas if they have been installed or
are portable repeaters that are turned on at scenes or in cities . Also there are regular channels such as Treasury common and others that can be used for Federal interagency traffic. When I get a moment I will post some of the other VHF , Lowband and UHf freqs unless some else gets them first. Also expect to see a talkgroup variation of this as several areas will be going to VHF trunking in the near future.

The LE alpha tags he posted above are correct.
Those are the new ones that have been listed in the NTIA red book (4.3.16) the past few years.

I have never heard any activity on them so far.
