Another interesting helicopter frequency is 123.025 This is used by all sorts of helicopters including medical as they go through the Charlotte airspace which can get crowded at times when the TV news helos are up and a major news story is happening.

Scruggsy - considering your location near the stateline, Med Center Air also has access on the Palmetto 800 statewide system in S.C., along with a dedicated talkgroup. It does not appear to be used alot ... I've only heard it for check-ins on transports down to Columbia and the burn center in Augusta.

Reference Hamstang's comment, 123.025 has also been used when multiple med helos are hovering near the scene of an accident or landing zone, so that pilots can coordinate who is going to land next.

CMC Main in Charlotte is also licensed for a base station on 123.050, which they use to coordinate activity coming / going on the 3 helipads. The CMC website has photos of the helipads for viewing.
