I have looked across the internet to try and find info on the Snowbird MOA in WNC and the following is what I have come up with. Can anyone agree or disagree with my findings?

126.725 SNOWBIRD
254.300 SNOWBIRD
264.200 SNOWBIRD MOA AIR TAC (CRISCO CONT.)
269.500 SNOWBIRD
279.200 SNOWBIRD MOA AIR TAC (CRISCO CONT.)
281.100 SNOWBIRD SEYMORE JOHNSON OPS
288.800 SNOWBIRD MOA AIR TAC
297.800 SNOWBIRD MOA AIR TAC
300.925 SNOWBIRD
301.025 SNOWBIRD
301.125 SNOWBIRD
315.100 SNOWBIRD MOA AIR TAC
328.550 SNOWBIRD MOA AIR TAC
335.900 SNOWBIRD
363.900 SNOWBIRD
369.900 SNOWBIRD MOA AIR TAC (CRISCO CONT.)
377.050 SNOWBIRD

None are in use anymore. Crisco Control was the old ANG Mil Radar unit at McGhee Tyson and hasn't been in use for well over a decade. Aircraft operating in the Snowbird use Atlanta ARTCC freqs for what little radar control you will hear and occasional A/A and tactical freqs if the units using the MOA (we have a lot units using this MOA from time to time).

Most MOAs across the country are in the same boat. The military radar units have gone away and the controlling ARTCC now provides radar services, if needed or requested by the unit training in the MOA airspace.

73 and good hunting,

Chief
