What towers would you program in to listen to Harnett County VIPER system if you live in Holly Springs?
I know Johnston County is difficult to hit in Holly Springs. The traffic is hit or miss.

Looking at the VIPER site coverage, the best choice would be Cokesbury site 1-14, might also try Broadway site 1-70 however it is outside the range.

You can find the tower coverage area by going to the VIPER database page in RR and clicking on the towers.

Can someone tell me how to download the frequencies from RR for wake co to my SDS200. I have proscan and the sentinel software and I can’t seem to figure it out. I have the proscan controlling my scanner if that helps with my problem.

As noted on your other thread, the frequencies you require are likely already built-in to the SDS/Sentinel combination. There are lots of YouTube videos explaining how to use the SDS itself, as well as the Sentinel software. Invest some time and learn how to use your expensive equipment. It'll be worth the effort.

They aren't listed as WAKE but rather Cary/Wake, also you only want to program in site two for Wake County

Did you already program the scanner with Favorites Lists and if so, did you use Sentinel or ProScan Favorites Editor?
You may want to start off using Sentinel. That way you can modify the profile if needed, and check for firmware updates all though the last firmware version was 3 years ago ver. 1.10.00 so the scanner is probably using the latest firmware, also with Sentinel, you can update the master Uniden database on your computer. If you want to import directly from the RRDB to ProScan, you can do that too.

Before adding a site and site frequencies to the system in the scanner, you want the Favorites Lists on your computer to be the same as Sentinel or ProScan. To do that, put the scanner in Mass Storage mode then click on "Read from scanner" in Sentinel or "Scanner Read" in the ProScan Favorites Editor.

Please advise where you're at in the process and if using ProScan or Sentinel. The SDS200 has a FTP Read & Write function that ProScan supports. Using that, the scanner does not use the Mass Storage mode but that's down the road.

I'm lost lol
Your SDS200 is a pretty sophisticated device. Before you can use it to your best advantage, you need to first understand the basics of how trunked radio systems work and how the RR / Sentinel database is organized (ie frequencies/talkgroups/sites/etc).
The days of one agency = one (or maybe two) frequencies are pretty much behind us... especially in metropolitan areas. Take some time to research these things and it will begin to make sense. Finding a local mentor would help. It's difficult to try to 'plain this stuff in a forum environment.

@tazluv690 have you checked out the Tarheel Scanner Group? They are local to you.

Okay I finally found out how to get RR over to proscan software but can’t yet figure how to get it to my scanner Or the sentinel software to upload it to my scanner. It’s something that I’m over lookin.

Basically you put the scanner in Mass Storage mode then write to the scanner.

For simplicity have you tried punching the Zio Services button, then E button for USA, then Enter Zip Code? If it asks to turn on Full Database hit E again. You may have to then hit the Squelch/Menu button and scroll to Select Service Types. and make sure the service types you want are enabled. I've never used Proscan as Sentinel works fine for me but may not be easy to use at first.
