Not to hi-jack the thread,but.......
What kind of radio chaos could we expect to hear if a large scale disaster where to occur to ,lets say Holton, as an example....something on the level of Greensburg in '07....would a COW be brought in to fill the gap or would it just get absorbed into the rest of the NE 6 Region?

It would depend on the incident and where it was at the time.
The COW can be put on the state system and become a tower to fill a gap or it can put up 2 700 meg local area sites.

It is much easier to keep people on channels they are familiar with in the first hours of an incident but depending on where it is, that might not work.

We have great capabilities on both the SNCO P25 and KSICS as well that some of the overlap could help with.
