I need help badly. I used to scan Gun Barrel City, Texas, on an old analog scanner. Gun Barrel City changed to Digital. I bought a BCD436HP and could not get it to program. I have tried for about a year off and on. I recently purchased a new SDS100, and I still cannot get my Locals. I added the file I am used to. Can somebody please help me? I have tried Sentenal and recently purchased Proscan. It has to be something simple.

On ProScan, either save & attach your ProScan programming file (which will have a *.txt file extension), or, when exporting, choose 'Sentinel *.hpe file. If you have your Favorites list loaded in Sentinel, you can export it to an *.hpe file (the link is on the drop-down "File" menu). You cannot directly post an *.hpe file, so save it on your PC, then <right><click> on it & choose 'Compress'. That will create a *.zip file, which can be attached. The ProScan programming file, which has a text (*.txt) file extension can be attached to a post with no other steps needed.

I'm looking at your 'export file', which is an *.html file extension (web page format), but that cannot be directly imported.

I am also using the stock antenna and have the REMTRONIX REM-920S on order.

Try this one. You'll need to save the zipped file, then in File Explorer. extract the Henderson.hpe file, which you can open in Sentinel, or import into ProScan. Whichever you use (Sentinel or ProScan, use that to send it to your scanner.

Looking at your file, I see that you had the two Athens sites, for the Henderson County system, selected. I removed Athens South, and instead added Trinidad, which I think is closer.

For the TDCJ 'systems', none of the ;systems' you have selected have any frequencies entered. You need the frequencies, if trying to hear them.

For TxWARN, you have the Athens & Kaufman sites entered. But, the Henderson site you selected, is for city of Henderson, located in Rusk County, well out of range from your location.

For TxWARN talkgroups, the Interoperability - Law Enforcement talkgroups are for Houston. You would not hear anything on them from your area.

The DFW Communications site, may not be correct. Comments on that system's page indicate that there probably have been changes to how it is set up. If so, what is currently in the database will not work. You do not have a 'Department' set up, and it is not set up for ID Search. I added a Department, & set the system to use ID Search, which would get any active talkgroup, presuming that the frequencies & site structure in the database is correct. But, as noted above, comments on the system's page indicate changes may have been made that are not shown.

I downloaded your file and extracted the henderson.hpe file and sent it to my scanner and now it says "nothing to scan".

Ok, I played around some more and now I am getting Athens which I believe is Digital. I also have a yellow light set and a tone for Gun Barrel City. I do get the yellow light and the tone, but I hear nothing from GBCity.
