A lovely creature has chewed off the essential Func / Menu button on the side of my 396

After inspection it appears to be a very easy replacement process being it's a single molded piece.

Without sending my 396T to Uniden for service, can I purchase the rubber piece and replace it myself?

I checked Uniden's website, which doesn't seem to offer ordering replacement parts. I would rather order and replace the part myself without losing my scanner for an unknown amount of time.

Thanks

I've emailed them several times about getting a new keypad for mine and never got a response. I'm sure they would much rather have you send it in and pay them to repair it.

If you call the Uniden service 800 number, there is an option to order parts. Tell the person you talk to the model number and the part you want and they will look up the part number and give you a price. I don't think that they have a minimum order.
