STARCOM21 RID 47671
Not sure...Is the siren coming from the helicopter, or some other emergency vehicle on the ground?
It's coming from the helicopter. In previous years air 1 and air 2 both used sirens at the Chicago Air and Water show. I was told this new copter will be there this year. Also, I believe they actually have four choppers now one being a Huey.Is the siren coming from the helicopter, or some other emergency vehicle on the ground?

Are they outside a lot or in a hanger? I would like to try and get pics this weekend. The CPD and CFD helicopters are based on the lake front just south of the Calumet River at E Foreman Dr, Chicago, IL 60617. The driveway for the heliport is off the access road for the Calumet Park boat ramp.
That new bird had a radio callsign of PH1/2Previous news releases indicated Chicago has signed a deal with Bell Textron for three new helicopters. The news release stated Chicago PD was getting one twin engine Bell 429 (N911ZP) and two new Bell 407 single engine helicopters. Tonight I noticed a 2024 Bell 407 helicopter on ADS-B with tail number N536PD. ADS-B Exchange shows registration as issued to Bell Textron. I suspect this is the new Bell 407 helicopter for CPD.
