New City of Milwaukee radio system

Well nothing this morning. So it must have been a test patch or some such thing. Just keep listening so who knows.

It's been a few days since but work has started on swapping select radios, so far it's mostly Fire Administration cars, still nothing for major planned yet for FD stations or PD apart from already swapped specialized units (Milwaukee Harbour patrol was done last year for the RNC)

TG 1004 appears to be a patch for main dispatch for MPD district 4.

Caught TG 1005 and TG 1007 this past week as patched to MPD district 5 and MPD district 7 respectively during a pursuit on OALAWCALL.

I have noticed that when there is a patch between OA Chase and MPD, the District main talkgroups do show up on the P-25 system.

In running Uni-Trunker on the system at times lately, I have seen some of those 10,000 Talkgroups show up again. They originally showed up during the RNC last year. They were all encrypted so probably some sort of Police or special events talkgroups. Maybe they are being used for testing?

So who is able to monitor this system, where are you located (general location) and what equipment are you using....?

SDRTrunk v0.6.1, Unication G5 and BC536HP are all no-joy in the Greenfield/Milwaukee border area, in the shadow of the southwest water tank site. RSPdx SDR tuner shows a control channel on 771.49375 tonight but none of my gear even recognizes it as part of this system. Frustrating...

This system is still in its early stages of being implemented and tower sites are still being built out, I use an SDS100 and I have had trouble receiving it in places around Milwaukee

I have a UNIDEN 436HP and so far just MFD main dispatch, the county chase channel, and one that I can't think of at the moment.

I have an sds100 with stock rubber duck antenna and sds200 in the mobile running compactenna scan iii. Both receive the system well in the Butler area.

I had the system on for several hours yesterday and not a single peep or beep. I know it's still in long term testing but for several hours on the same system I thought something would have popped. Oh well.

You won’t hear much except for testing for a few weeks (from a good source). The “real” new system is being turned on, previously there was only one test site at low power.
