Talkgroups captured across these sites

Site 1 - Campbells Bay - https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=9684
162.720 - LCN 1 - CC9

Talkgroup 6
Talkgroup 9
Talkgroup 12
Talkgroup 19

Site 2 - Camp Fortune (Not in the database yet needs to be submitted)
153.500 - CC9
143.910

Talkgroup 6

Site 4 - Mont Ste. Marie - https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=9685
143.520 - LCN 1 - CC9

Talkgroup 5
Talkgroup 6
Talkgroup 8
Talkgroup 9
Talkgroup 11
Talkgroup 12
Talkgroup 13
Talkgroup 19

Should the database be updated as one system seeing as they have seperate site #s? Or are they still considered seperate systems?
Hello,

The lack of a real System ID means you need to hear the same traffic on the same talkgroup across two or more sites to prove the sites involved in the transmissions are part of the same system. It is not a given that all the talkgroups are linked to multiple sites.

I wonder if this system is to support the various ski areas, especially if they are owned by the same company.

These two frequencies seem to belong to site 2:

153.500 1 2 Site 2
143.910 3 4 Site 2

Ttracking of voice comms and CC is correct.

EDIT: TAFL says this is Camp Fortune

TAFL indicates Camp Fortune and Chelsea are at the same location.

Ripon seems to use 143.265. The other two VHF repeaters appear to be analog.

Also found a site at Cumberland (Ont.) on 150.140.

Hi Eric, long time no hear/speak. So with presence of Site numbers and Neighbour lists this would be a networked (linked) Cap+ system?

As for ski hill ops, my impression is a mish-mash of owners/operations over the region, not a common owner.

Ski operations at Mont Ste-Marie were I believe using a 4W analog repeater (152.225) up until a year or so ago, could just barely copy it here >60km away. Now there are what looks like 3 different trunked systems at that location (although one may be MIA -- Nexedge 4.8k), ski ops may be on one of those.

Due to the number of high-rise condos going up around here, I 'm not always sure if some of the weaker signals I used to hear are still there, or now being blocked; not to mention that the noise floor must be going up, with all those UHF DMR signals.

Hello,

Yes, the site number indicates Linked Capacity Plus. I have at least one system in my area with only one obvious site for a business (Site 1 with no neighbor list). I suspect a single site system or maybe it is linked to a site in a different city.

It has been awhile since I was up in the area attending the Carp Hamfest and touring the bunker. I go to a Montreal BBQ in August each year.

To try to solve the "Mobilonde" mystery: drove east-west and listened for NXDN CC or anything on 142.035; nothing. Also nothing on 143.940. Possibly the CC is still active but moved. I could hear 143.280 and 143.520 fairly well.

Mobilonde seems to have more VHF at Mont Ste-Marie, but appears analog:

TAFL Search Results

I'll give a listen on these two later.

System 2008 on the RR DB so far, no sites near the one in question and not under Mobilonde:

Yes, the site number indicates Linked Capacity Plus

"Is the colour code the same across the system? CC9"

►Yes it is the same. DCC9

Per: Eric- "Yes, the site number indicates Linked Capacity Plus

So I guess that clears things up a bit. Also the radio id's are showing up on more then one site.

a typo in a previous message.

I just realized I had a typo in a previous message.

CTM Site 2:

It should look like this if you are using DSD+
▼
Cap+, 7777, 2, 1, 153.500, 0.0, 0,
Cap+, 7777, 2, 3, 143.910, 0.0, 0,

Note: I don't know what the network ID is so I used 7777, does not make any difference when monitoring the system.

Site 2 a third frequency found

While watching activity on site 2, the rest channel jumped to 143.115
So it looks like a 3 frequency site.

Site 2 Camp Fortune
Cap+, 7777, 2, 1, 153.500, 0.0, 0,
Cap+, 7777, 2, 3, 143.910, 0.0, 0,
Cap+, 7777, 2, 5, 143.115, 0.0, 0,

Anyone want to try this and confirm?

That would seem to be it. Still nothing on 162.300.

Cumberland 150.140 seems to be just grinding data on and off, mostly base station idle, could be some other stuff like AVL. No sign of voice activity. Have passed by it a few times, nothing much interesting for average listener.

Hello,

150.140 sounds like a dedicated data channel associated with the site. I think a Cap+ site can have up to 3 of them. I doubt you will hear voice on a Cap+ system as the data channels and voice channels are separate lists in the radio programming software.
