I've heard a couple times in the past week: "You're on the wrong frequency" then silence. There will be 6 or 8 hours with no radio traffic at all, like right now. I haven't picked up anything since 18:40 and I know at a minimum there would be ambulance calls. The database just has 154.845, 153.920, and 453.1875 same as I have been scanning but silence. I have an SDS200, I feel like there must be a way to scan for calls on other frequencies. I have some learning to do. Does anyone here have any insight on this mystery frequency or how to find it?

I found search with scan and playing whack a mole double clicking the avoid button on static frequencies. No joy yet.

Sometimes it takes aggravating patience to discover what you want.
You never mentioned if you are aiming for PD or FD?
If you can sit next to the police or fire station and run in close call only mode, sometimes that helps.
Also have you perused the FCC's database for all the licenses in town?

We only have in the DB what we have found or others have found and submitted...

Good tips, thank you. I can do both but right now I'll start looking for and through the FCC's database. I like scanning PF, FD, and DPW is always comical :) Thank you

Just FYI... I have Ware FD (153.920) in my car scanner and I hear them regularly before and since you posted.
