This will be my first thread on the information I have for the Eastern and Southern Regions of the U.S. Forest Service using some very solid information I was able to obtain.

To date, I've already made database submissions for the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Mississippi. I know that Louisiana has been posted to the database where the editor did a great job linking my narrative description of the National Forests and their ranger districts in the Wiki, with a well positioned link to it.

I will only post information as shown in the material I have. I will show the National Flight Following and National Air Guard frequencies when there is information about the sites where remote bases exist for these nets.

ARKANSAS/OKLAHOMA

Ouachita National Forest

Located in both Arkansas and Oklahoma, the Ouachita National Forest is home to rolling hills, pristine lakes, geological wonders and a vast array of adventures at every turn! Whether you want a challenge or a retreat, a vista or a valley, the Ouachitas have something for everyone! This National Forest has its Forest Supervisors Office in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The communications center for this forest is located here and is known over the air as "Hot Springs Dispatch." The forest has the following Ranger Districts: Caddo Womble, Mt. Ida, AR; Jessieville Winona Fourche, Jessieville AR; Mena Oden, Mena, AR; Poteau Springs, Waldron AR; and the Oklahoma Ranger District divided into two ranger stations, North, in Hodgen and South, Broken Bow.

Thank you for sharing this, in whatever fashion you can.

If someone else wants to pretty it up, that's their prerogative. I'm just happy to have them.

Ok, let's try this again. We left out a National Forest so I will take the prior post and insert the missing forest.

Ozark-St. Francis National Forest

As one of America's most scenic and picturesque areas, the Ozark-St. Francis provides a lot of the "natural" in the Natural State of Arkansas. This National Forest is overseen by a Forest Supervisor in Russellville, AR with the following Ranger Districts: Big Piney in Hector, AR; Boston Mtn. in Ozark, AR; Mt. Magazine in Paris, AR; Pleasant Hill in Clarksville, AR; St. Francis in Marianna, AR; and Sylamore in Mountain View, AR. This National Forest is also dispatched by "Hot Springs Dispatch" located in the Ouachita National Forest, Forest Supervisors Office in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

The following radio nets cover both of the above National Forest units.
