New Milford Fire Department going digital?

Hey everyone,

I’ve noticed something recently with my local Gaylordsville Fire Department. They’ve switched their OPS channel from analog over to P25.

Does anyone know if New Milford is planning to move to trunked or P25 digital channels as well? From what I’ve seen, it would probably be Phase 1 since their radios are already set up, plus I’ve seen some MotoTRBO XPR radios in the mix.

I haven’t heard the OPS channel in digital yet, so I’m keeping an ear out. Has anyone caught this on Broadcastify, on their scanners, or just out in the open?

Curious to see what the plan might be for this year, any info would be appreciated!

If they have mototrbo radios in the mix they can't be doing P25 of any sort as mototrbo radios are not capable of P25.

I know that. But if they switched to p25 then it’s possible. I haven’t seen or heard any difference yet. And will be looking around on my scanner or SDR.

They went P25 on one of their channels thinking it will help portable to portable comms.
(we all know it will not)
