I picked up a new P25 control channel on 407.0375. Running UniTrunker, it listed the following as alternate control channel frequencies:
406.2375
406.4375
406.8375
407.2375
407.4375
407.6375

It also listed this as site 001 with Sys ID 00A and WACN 57BB0. Looking at the frequencies, those are the same frequencies for the Moffett Field/NASA Ames EDACS system. I did not detect any voice activity on the system yet, so it may still be testing. Perhaps this P25 system will replace the existing EDACS system.

I've detected one talk group so far, 64008 but it was encrypted. The EDACS system is still going so they must be testing for now.

Seems All DoD and Air Force and other Military are going to P25 systems. When did you notice the new system? If not long ago you may able to hear more next week or so depends how fast they set it up.

Looks like the EDACS system is now offline or at least I can't detect a control channel anymore.

The current control channel for the P25 system is 407.6375. A couple of encrypted talk groups popped up, 1273 and 1353, after monitoring a few minutes. I'll continue monitoring and will upload my results to the database. Hopefully this is not a 100% fully encrypted system.

Interesting... I was under the impression they might want to use SVRCS for their Fire and Patrol. Hopefully they'll get APX 8000's to use.

That's a typical system ID/WACN combination for a Harris P25 system.
