I wonder if they're still going to use the conventional repeaters they have now.

Then again, its my understanding the only reason they used them was because they had better coverage than the trunked system.

Makes you wonder why have a trunked system for only 3 or 4 talkgroups...

Finally, a use for my 7100 now that Toronto EMS abandoned their EDACS...lol

From what I've heard there will still be repeaters... unsure if they will be 800mhz or how they will handle that.

Re: 7100... If you want to sell it let me know :) I'm kicking myself for selling the MP-A and LPE-200 I had a few years back.

They make a nice self defense weapon too. If you hit anyone over the head with one I think you'd kill them!

I think they are testing on site 4 now.

I wonder how much longer it's going to take before they finally go 'live' on the new system

I haven't heard any vehicle radio testing, so who knows if they have even started installing them yet :\

Looks like they have 3 antennas on the top of it now.. some wire was hanging down the middle of the tower. Had close call on and searched the 860-900 band and didnt find any control channel

Soo just a few mins ago it poped into my head.
I think the delay on the 4th site for london edacs is because of the upgrades and such going on in kitchner-waterloo's system since they are both edacs.

I bet once they are all done up there we will start to see some more work on our system here.

Looks like Site 4 is now on the air. I've got a control channel on 866.3000 which my Pro-106 is Site 4. I'll run UT on it later today.

I concur with 1 thru 3. Likewise I haven't seen any action on 4. 5 is actually 867.0500.

866.9375 belongs to Site 3.

LCN 1 866.0500 seems to be another control channel for site 4

Was on LCN 2 all day and night.. other then for an hour at one point it went to LCN 1.. Now it's back to that one

SO!
LCN 1 and 2 are controls..

LCN 4 is 866.8000

Were you able to confirm the frequency for LCN 4? Or is that just from our speculation yesterday....

Sure did

Since the CC changed LCN 4 had chit chat on it.
Put my radio in custom scan and each time someone was talking on it i was hearing the digital noise every time.

And this time i checked the other towers first ;)

Can anyone tell me the best tower for London fire to receive in Komoka? I set it for the one with the most channels thinking it was downtown but the transmissions come in very weak.
