My R7 covers it. Certainly not designed to, but it does. LOLSo, full-band coverage would need two antennas, and a switch or a plexer. Does anyone make a log-periodic that covers from 12 meters to 70 cm for all-in-one coverage? š

Aliexpress shows my 950 Pro has cleared customs in China, tentative arrival by 9/24.According to the interwebs the Pro version is now shipping.
Windows Defender doesn't like the CPS because it isn't signed (or whatever makes it happy) but it is safe to use. Happens a lot with Chinese software.I read somewhere the CPS for a Baofeng model had malware, so I took the precaution of installing this CPS on an old laptop running WIN XP (which is never connected online for obvious reasons ....).
These cases are not fixed, they can be changed by customizing the keys. You can change them in the key definition in the menu
A fumble on my part. There is Radio set which has one option"standby set" off & on (its set to on) but no idea what that does, but it didn't remove "TW" being displayed.
I received two950 Pro on 9/18 from pre-order.According to the interwebs the Pro version is now shipping.
Who will be the first budget radio manufacturer to deliver a clean transmit spectrum on 10 and 6 meters? Regardless of the brand, this is the area where Chinese radios consistently fall short.
I turned off STANDBY SET and still have Triwatch. How can I just have a single frequency on the screen?A fumble on my part.
To turn off Tri-Watch go MENU > RADIO SET scroll to STANDBY SET and set it to OFF.
"TW" still appears at the bottom of the screen but is no longer highlighted i.e. the function is not active.
Good question - I'd like to know the answer too.How can I just have a single frequency on the screen?
Yes, discovered this yesterday trying to find a means of having a single frequency display. In addition the TW icon is highlighted when on and greyed out when off. I guess I can live with the screen clutter as-is, thank you for clarifying the TW function.Good question - I'd like to know the answer too.
TW/STANDBY SET OFF seems to allow you to select via the ABC button one of the 3 displayed frequencies to monitor and use, and the other two while displayed, are muted.
TW/STANDBY SET ON all three are scanned and if a transmission is detected, it locks onto that frequency and the other two are muted - until that transmission stops and then all three are scanned.
Thank you again Damien for this tip. Guess I will start with CPS V1.19 after my cable arrives. My Moto APX7000 has a similar cable and I had to lightly sand the plastic cover to enable the screw threads to engage. Even though the pins are spring loaded the cover needs to be tight. I suspect manufacturing tolerances are at fault here.A couple of things noticed today.
If when trying to read from or write to the radio via CPS and USB cable and the radio correctly displays āProgramā but CPS reports error: āWrite data failureā, if your COM port is correct, check and re-seat the cable connection to the side of the radio.
It may look OK but its not a perfect fit and caused this error (and some more gray hairs ...).
Also I discovered that CPS v1.1.9 will not open saved files created with v1.1.6 and reports "The data file does not match or is corrupted".
So if you want to update the CPS to the latest version, the solution may be to load your final data file to the radio under the previous version, install the new CPS version, then read the radio and save the file.
