Hey All I have a fairly new Pro-97 and enjoy it a lot. I've added a Diamond RH77CA antenna and it preforms a great deal better than the stock setup did. Now I'm looking to maybe hook up an external antenna on the roof of my house. I basically listen to PD, FD and other local Sheriffs and or State Troopers. It's mostly in the 150 MhZ and the 400 MhZ range. What I'm looking to pick up is MilAir freq's. From where the antenna would be mounted I'm looking at less than a 50' run of cable. I'm interested in which antenna's would be a good choice for my set up. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Yes you can connect the antenna to that radio.

The antenna end requires a PL-259 connector and the scanner requires a BNC connector.
You can get just a PL-259 coax and use a BNC adaptor on one end or make a piece of
coax with the correct connectors.

How long of coax?, The shorter the better.
