HP-1: New scanner

Ok I have decided I going with the Home patrol Now I see there HP-1 & HP-2 I live i CA. placer county and would mostly listen to Sacramento county / City & placer county. my question is which one should I get HP-1 or HP-2

If cost is not an issue I would go with the HP-2, then you will have Phase II ability if needed in the future. I never had a HP-1 but some say the HP-2 sounds clearer. I love my HP-2.

Does any one know if phase ll is being used in my area sacramento county or placer county
or when its going to switch over to phase ll

The HP-2 will add the flexibility to decode Phase 2 in case you take it with you somewhere that uses it.
