You got a wood fence in the backyard? How about running an endfed horizontal "lazy L" along the frameboards, down one side fence and along the back fence? You could have the feed point close to the house and run it stealth into the house. They'd never notice that radiator wire if ya use solid bare. It'd blend right into the wood as it patinas.

I bought into a timeshare in south Florida that was HOA-ruled and they were ridiculous. I put my mini-discone out on a balcony railing with a bicycle handlebar mount and someone walked by and said 'you'd better get that offa there!' and I ignored him. Twenty minutes later a patrol car shows up. Turns out that the guy who walked by and made that remark was the property manager and when I didn't jump to remove it he called the police! Lo and behold, the cop was ticked off at the nature of the call and his waste of time and resources and he read the riot act to the manager and told him if he wanted me to remove the antenna he could take me to court. Needless to say I fulfilled my contract, used it 3 X and bought elsewhere. HOAs can be Nazis in some cases!
