Nice setup, I notice you have an FDC radio, I've seen quite a few of these on ebay, how do you like yours?

That is where I bought it, it was actually my first ebay purchase, along with the Puxing radio. All I can say so far is it seems easy enough to use and it appears to work.

If I tune my Pro-96 to receive frequencies this radio is designed to transmit, I receive those frequencies, but I have only tested it within my own home.

I bought mine from 409shop.com the ebay store name is radiofactoryhongkongsuppliers, and it arrived in NY in 8 days from payment all the way from Hong Kong which I think is pretty good.

I left it scanning for a few hours and didn't pick up much, but I haven't compared it to my Pro-96 searching the same range.

I wanted to make a discussion about the radio or join one but I don't see an appropriate forum here to do so.

If anyone breaks in his house at night he just starts flinging cell phones at their head!

"Cough, cough" NewPort's? rough.... I get tired of carrying 2 phones, how do you stand all yours?

2 Cell phones doesn't bother me. I currently carry 3, and that does annoy me.

You see, one (The e815) is paid for by the company I work for, they read my emails and pay attention to my cell phone usage. The 2nd, (the Motorola RAZR Prepaid) is my new and main cell phone. The Boost mobile (Motorola i425e) is my old phone, but I still sometimes use it for the Nextel Direct Connect feature, and I never port a number, I figure after a couple of months anybody I want to talk to has my new contact information.

The other phones are just for experimental and emergency purposes. I own over 20 cell phones of which 7 have active service, all but one are prepaid.

I'm one of those end of the world as we know it type of crazy people. The rest of my communications equipment relates to my "I Am Legend" type of mentality.

In "I am legend" When he says " I am broadcasting on ALL AM frequencies". I laughed and told my wife "I would love to see that setup".

Next, I was told to "shut up and just watch the damn movie, I don't want to hear a 15 minute rundown on frequencies" :)

I've had mine for two years now. The sensitivity of the radio is very good as is the audio quality.

Mine serves me very well. When in the car I stick a mag-mount on the roof, screw in the antenna adapter, attach the battery eliminator, plug in a Motorola two pin speaker mic and i'm good to go!

I've had people fail to believe me when I tell them i'm running a cheap chinese handie that they think sounds like something 10 times more expensive!

I did some experimenting with mine today, comparing its reception to my Pro-96, on a few freqs, the FDC picked up perfectly and the Pro-96 didn't make a peep. Though I have an 800MHz antenna on the Pro-96 and my FDC is VHF 136-174. Pretty easy to program too after going through the few short pages of the manual.
