You'll regret getting rid of that 940S once you get some knowledge under your belt and realize what a good radio it is. What I suggest you do is get rid of the HTX-100 and use the money towards buying a Solarcon A-99 antenna. You can sell your HTX-100 for around $100 or so, and the A-99 including the radial kit will cost you around $100. The 940S will do everything the HTX-100 does and then some.
