i think its the same on both 124.725 and 279.375 although not really sure cuz i cant listen to both at same time
279.375 or 279.650 ? I don't see 279.375 on the list. Scan the 2 frequencies and see if the controller is working the same aircraft.

RE .375 - go back and read the comments 1 or 2 people say thats the freq and it seems it is
I'm talking about Chicago Center not Tower or Approach, and it was 290.375 (Tower/Ground) that was mentioned earlier in the thread not 297.375. Chicago Center 124.725 should be coupled with 279.650 but I'm guessing you are not able to hear the controllers on either of these 2 frequencies.

I wouldn't remove them because it covers airspace over your location!
It looks like the Chicago Center RCAG at Rockford is at a separate site located about 10 miles north of the KRFD airport. The latest FAA AFF does not list a UHF frequency there anymore, so it might have been decomissioned, that's why I was wondering if the controller could be heard simulcasting on 279.650 along with 124.725. The OP might be not able to hear the controller on 124.725 given the location of the RCAG ? Maybe someone else in the know can confirm what UHF frequency is used in that Hawks 92 Sector so the RR Database can be updated if required.

Yes, 279.65 (ZAU) is still used in the RFD area. Don't know the technical details of what location is xmitting or xmitter. But here at ZAU it is used for high altitude.

In the previous post, 121.000 should be changed to KRFD AppDepE VHF and 126.000 should be changed to AppDepW VHF to limit alpha tags to 16 characters.

New to atc monitoring... What does "Sibley" and "Driscoll" mean?
When Its handed off from TRACON to tower for example they say the tower freq, along with Sibley or Driscoll

As mentioned above, they are the final approach fixes (FAF) for the various runways. The aircraft is usually told to contact tower at the FAF. They will monitor the approach frequency until then for any speed changes or any other message the approach controller needs to pass along.

Thanks for that.
Is there a mistake in the DB? It shows 2 freqs for Departure West in Chicago TRACON:
135.275
and
125.400
Maybe I'm just not understanding something

O’Hare is busy airspace. There are multiples of everything, ground control, tower, approach, departure. Some are used all the time, some are used for specific geographic segments, and some for overflow when the volume of traffic gets busy, etc.
