Hi all, I just moved from Michigan to McDonough, GA in Henry County. Anyone have any idea what frequencies are in use that I can listen to as far as public safety and fire go? I checked the database and input the 155.61 freq for police dispatch and have had it on for some time but have yet to hear anything. McD PD/FD appears to be proVoice so they're out. Anything else? Havn't tried Clayton or neighboring counties yet, but I'm not real familiar with what to put in. Not surprisingly I can't get to cc's for the Atlanta system here. Thanks everyone in advance.

Provoice

Hi, I have been scanning for years but only Clayton and some other areas. What is Provoice and what scanners pick it up?
Thanks

ProVoice is a MA/COMM (GE) system that no scanner can receive (that we know of). Kinda like Motorola DVP. Best bet is to just monitor all the other surrounding agencies. Sorry.
