My question is

i understand FDNY will be the primary users on the trunked system..

will the everyday operations of the nyc dept of sanition and correction along with parks be on there as well

or is it just for the fdny and oem???

i researched the system it looks like it will be on 482-483 range

It's called the "one radio" concept that was talked about over 10 years ago. Instead of VHF for FDNY, UHF for NYPD and others plus 800 for the trunked system that included OEM and others, everyone just wanted to carry ONE radio. Now they will have a chance with a handheld that can do trunked and conventional on UHF.
