I'm everywhere Focker!
The SDS100 charger is a timed charger. It charges for the set length of time, regardless of the battery status. Whether you used the radio 5 minutes or 5 hours, it gives the battery the full charge, unless you interrupt it. A full-length charge every time is likely to affect the battery.
You sure about that?

Cool. Next, make a BCD396P2- a 396XT that can receive DMR/NXDN to replace the 325P2

I would LOVE a 396xt model scanner upgrade...period. But since it is not in production any more guess that won't happen. The 396xt is my favorite handheld of all time and still use mine daily.

I agree with @KK4JUG, my mind was on the 436. (Makes it convenient to blame him :devilish:). Seriously, that was my wrong as well. While the SDS100 is supposed to detect the full charge, I still question the algorithm when charging in the scanner. I have not had any problems when charging using the external charger, which is the only way I charge. Still, given the swollen battery issue with the SDS100, I hope that the SDS150 charger will be smarter.

I'll wait for the SDS500... 500 KHz to 1.5 GHz coverage, true SSB, and the simulcast distortion correction on HF to clean up HFGCS audio when they use the whole network to broadcast.

And dual screens. And more knobs and buttons.

Why are the old AMPS (cellphone) frequencies still blocked on a modern scanner? Don't answer that, just a rant.

It would be awesome if the SDS150 can be programmed without removing the card.
As long as they're blocked pursuant to Federal law, you won't see them in a US-model scanner....

That profile picture show both the SDS100 and 150 side by side on the same digital frequency but the 150 have half the signal strength judging by the signal bar at low left and 3 bit errors while the 100 has full signal and 0 bit errors. I have to assume when comparing performance that both use the same antenna or it otherwise would be no point in doing a comparison. So it's probably due to interference from GPS and BT like UpMan where afraid of.
Just to be transparent my SDS100 is going back to Uniden repair for the signal issues seen in my profile picture.

Think they'll send me a loaner? :D

Coming from a 436 I'm not so sure if I should try and see if the 100 will become cheaper because of this and try and get that or jump the gun and go with the 150. Guess I'll just wait and see what the price is for the 150.

Except on P25 trunking...you know, only the most popular type of public safety trunking system in the U.S. This feature has never worked properly on P25 systems with any Uniden model, only dying system types like Moto 3600 and EDACS (maybe?) Joe's explanation years ago of how it was allegedly supposed to work was convoluted at best.

KevinC has brought this to Jason's attention, so hopefully Uniden Japan will finally get around to having the scanners read the low speed data on the traffic channels looking for voice grants on talkgroups flagged as priority, and it will actually start to work as rightfully expected and advertised.

Some of these features could probably be implemented in the SDS100/200, since they're entirely firmware based.

Would the new Unider app, BT U/Aware App Connectivity, be similar in use to the (upcoming maybe) remote head RH200? (though if I read correctly the app, being BT, wouldn't work with the sds100 anyway?
