There maybe another update to Sentinel this week for us to test. It's 09:41 Monday morning there, we'll see.I was looking to see if there was a update I don't see one guessing beta version still in use?
That is correct.I just noticed your Avatar photo. I am guessing that is the signal strength for each of the GPS satellites the SDS150 is located on to.

It's on our wish list for features we want in a Uniden scanner. Mobile phones got a light sensor and adjusts the screen to adapt to the current environment light. If used in a vehicle the screen will change if you go into a darker tunnel or if you get bright sunlight and portable scanners are used in the exact same situations, so why not have a $0.10 light sensor and a couple of transistors to control the backlight.Any chance there could be an option for auto brightness for the screen?
Until encryption either goes away or a solution to decrypt comes around I'll save the $1000.Hi All as with everything that's Brand new and just developed you might want to wait a while and watch the forums about the issues of
the NEW sds150 wait at least 6 to 12 months. the price is now $949.99 a lot of money for a TOY, Buy FOOD clothes and gas instead !
After 10 months and if no BIG issues like the battery burning down your house or car then consider it Maybe. Don't forget a lot of agencies are going to
700 Mhz encrypred, Boston PD did !
Butel is currently listing their ARC 536 software for the SDS150 on their website. The same software is also used for the SDS100, SDS200, USDS100 and USDS200.is butel software being built out? for this radio and can we use it for all the other RADIOS? just a question.

There is currently a Black Friday special going on which brings the price of ARC 536 Basic down to $31.96 (regular price $39.95) and ARC 536 Pro down to $55.96 (regular price $69.95). Use promo code BLACK at checkout to get your 20% discount.
I wondered about that. I think that there may be enough difference in the case design and the internal hardware that it might not be practical ( cost effective for Uniden or the customer). It's possible I missed it, but I'm surprised no one has asked if they can send their SDS100 in and have the GPS added.![]()
I forgot to add the updated version of Sentinel added the SDS150. You can use for the BCDx36, SDS100 & SDS200 as well. Just pick the proper Target Model for the profile/radio you are programming:The best guess is it will be an upgraded version that would work with the SDS100 SDS200 and SDS150 from what I have seen the beta testers posted pictures.

Search and you'll find that this has already been answered.Regarding GPS, is it safe to assume (yes I know) the antenna must have good access to the sky to properly work? If I had the scanner sitting in my center console without being connected to an outside antenna, the GPS would not work. If someone could confirm or explain like I’m a 5 year old I’d appreciate it.
