I find the Search, but I don't see a way to search a specific thread. For example, I want to search for a particular word or string of words in a very long thread several pages long.

I just searched " RYN25DI " Its the gps module people were installing in the 436 scanners. The threads come up for me with the word I searched and takes me to the right page with the search word on it.

As seen here, search results for RYN25I

It brings up every post that the module is discussed or mentioned in..

Can you give a better example?

Solid white background is hurting my eyes! I don't want to keep looking at it long. If it were a few shades of a darker color, it wouldn't be so bothersome. Otherwise, I am interested in seeing where this goes...

I'm sure there are all sorts of "Themes" which users can select from and we'll probably roll these out at some point.

Everyone should keep in mind that this is totally new Forums software so we're taking baby steps right now. Once we've got the basics figured out, we'll start looking at enhancements.

I do like the up front-visible list of active members, it is appreciated. Now the question. I fully admit, I am not always the brightest bulb in the room. But, I am having difficulty transitioning from the Forums page, to the database page. I do that all day long. I cannot locate a tab to revert back to the database search location. The only method I have found is to go to the actual website on the favorites bar and refresh the whole thing. I know I am missing something, somewhere...

No problem. Glad you found it.

As for positives, two that I`ve already mentioned are a Likes system so people don`t have to reply with a ``+1`` and a way to lock threads after a year of inactivity.

With so much white, forums seem very bright on large monitors. Makes me want to squint.

Most threads in google are redirecting properly.

We will be working this week on updating forums links across the site to link up properly

Yeah, I see that now. Strange that I was getting the 404 page when I clicked links from Google last night.

Most threads in google are redirecting properly.

Just an FYI..
Most of the links are redirecting properly. However, if you have bookmarks to a specific post number, and its not on the first page, it will not link to that specific post.

for example:

vBulletin link
https://forums.radioreference.com/n...43340-livingston-county-ny-2.html#post2683876

Xenforo redirects to
https://forums.radioreference.com/threads/livingston-county-ny.343340/#post2683876

should redirect to
https://forums.radioreference.com/threads/livingston-county-ny.343340/page-2#post-2683876

I knew there was more than one of us out there! Connection-wise, my Motorola V860 outshines most of the overpriced modern glo-toys out in the rural areas of NV, and it bounces, not breaks when dropped! Some folks simply don't know the power of the Dark Side, I guess...

Not a fan. Can't stand to look at the screen long enough to read an entire page. Why is everything crammed into the middle? No reason for that, another forum I'm one using xenforo isn't like that.
