Hi just a quick question.. that the Opp list Ontario Provincial Police Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference
is no longer in use.
and it's now new freq's using p25

I just got a IC r2500 with p25 so
Im just learning about p25

No, those frequencies are still in use for portable and other communications.

You're confusing those with the old NOR system which was taken down years ago.

You'll want to pick the closest site to you from this system:

Bell Fleetnet - Ontario Provincial Government Zone 2 Trunking System, Southeast Zone, Ontario - Scanner Frequencies

and enter in the frequencies.

Unfortunately, your radio will not follow trunking so you'll hear the analog users (MOH, MTO plows, etc) along with the digital users (OPP, MTO Enforcement, MNR, etc) on those channels.

You might want to read up on trunking in the Wiki:

which will explain why you can't separate out the different users of the system with your radio.

Thats a great radio but note your scanner is P25 but NOT trunking and the system is a trunked system. You maybe able to follow some action but putting all your local tower frequencies in and scanning them (locking out the control channel). But you wont follow conversations properly/fully.


And the list you linked to is still in effect for non trunked stuff (BEAT repeaters etc)

its frequencies are
141.54000 141.72000 141.93000 142.09500 142.26000(lockout this channel) 142.39500 142.59000 142.99500
