Hi everyone, I recently purchased an SDS150 scanner and I’m located in Franklin, VA. I’m new to programming and was hoping someone in the area could help or point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!

The city or county? I think the city is LTR trunking and police encrypted. They are going trunking with kenwoods I heard and most of the system besides fire and ems will be encrypted
Yep, Isle of Wight County Sheriff and Smithfield Virginia Police are also encrypted. So are the Virginia State Police. Southhampton Sheriff wasn't encrypted last time I was there several months ago. Fire departments around there should be ok to listen to. What specifically are you wanting to listen to? I recommend you put in your zip code to start with, let it load the database for what's around you and see what you hear. Or download Sentinel software and update the firmware and database first. I recommend Proscan software also for making your own favorite lists for scanning.
