Salisbury Police Department Updates Communications Center - WBOC-TV 16, Delmarvas News Leader, FOX 21 -

***Up-to-date technology is critical for dispatchers who work in the center for 12-hour shifts, according to Kaiser.

"They're actually answering multiple callers. They're trying to dispatch officers to different calls for service at the same time they're answering calls. They need to know where each and every officer is at every minute," said Kaiser.

A job now made easier by the center's updates, which include new computer equipment and software, a new open floor plan, and new wall monitors.

Kaiser said the most important updates are probably the new digital radio technology.

"The entire county is working off the same radio communication center that allows our officers on the street to simply toggle one switch and communicate with another agency in the county," said Kaiser.***

I'm guessing he's referring to FIRST

That isn't Salisbury's 911 center. Its the city of Salisbury Police communications. They have migrated over to using Wicomico County's P25 radio system. Which is not part of FIRST
