Has Newton Massachusetts PD gone digital??? It seems that Newton PD has gone quiet on my scanner and I was wondering if they have gone digital. The frequency I have programmed is 470.83750...Does anyone know if this has changed?

I asked the same thing a while ago. They are on the "back up" fq 470.3875
They do flip back and forth but seem now to be on 3875 for som reason.
Have dont been able to find out why the change. Pulg in the 470.3875 and you will hear them.

Why not try the Mass. section of RR. This has nothing to do with amateur radio.

Rather than encouraging cross posting, we'd rather you report the post and tell us it's in the wrong forum.

Moved to MA forum.

My old neighborhood. I lived in Newton 10 years ago. Didn't own a scanner at that time.

Do they have only one frequency? No trunking?

As of today they are back on their main channel (8375). Birdie told me that someone screwed something up and killed the freq for a while. Guess it is fixed now.
