I've been alpha testing it, if someone posts a new thread I can tell all the confidential info I have but it's too secretive to be in this one...

Any one got info on the bcd700pv? I live in Atlantic County, NJ. Most of the cops are using provoice. Tnks Matt

Simply put there isn't a scanner available that will receive Provoice so it can't be monitored.

As long as we're wish-listing here...

I'd love to see something with a built-in discriminator tap. It would add pennies to the cost of the scanner, and has the potential to provide the listener with so much more than just audio.

A color LCD display with a decent resolution would be a nice change too. A low-cost, low quality LCD like those used in Harmony's 880 universal remote control would be fine.

I wish Uniden would announce something, I'm itching to buy a new radio or two. An updated 330 (without that stupid NASCAR logo) would be nice.

Uniden is announcing its new TUNEABLE 996 T (tuneable) scanner!!!! Now you will be able to move that needle across the dial electronically. Just think, a scanner with the option to tune just like the old days. Simply select the band you wana tune and wala, an electronic dial appears that you choose the frequency spread of with a bright needle that moves up and down the dial as you twist the frequency knob!!! Ain’t it great! You can wobble back and forth just like the old days on an interesting freq…try searching like that on a conventional scanner! After twisting the tuning knob back and forth you can flip the switch back to normal scan mode and the rig reverts back to a regular scanner. Wow, Uniden has done it again! Who wuda though Uniden would have been smart enough to produce such an innovative rig! :) Now those scannest who cut their teeth on tuneable, dial type monitors have for the first time in years, the opportunity to enjoy searching the bands manually again! No longer does the scanner limit and tell the human what to do, the human tells the scanner what to do:cool: …how refreshing!:D
