I receive this system very well from the West Orange sit
Is there any benefit to have any other sites programmed as well? Would I get any channels not available to West Orange site?

The short answer is yes. The general rule is a talkgroup will only be active on any given site if a unit has affiliated to that talkgroup on that site. There are some talkgroups that are forced to multiple sites, but that is a very limited number.

Depends what you want to listen to and where you are going to be listening from. WO is a pretty good site, I was even able to hear it no problem from NYC. You will get pretty good coverage to most of northeast NJ and parts of NYC
