Does NJ State Police still use the Central Simulcast site of the Motorola Type II system for the Toms River area of Ocean County? I don't see any Ocean County sites for the NJICS P25 system. Thanks!
Yes they can still be heard on the type ll smartzone system on Central simulcast. I had heard from someone close to the system that said that it would be phased out by the end of 2022 but I wouldn't expect that is etched in stone.Does NJ State Police still use the Central Simulcast site of the Motorola Type II system for the Toms River area of Ocean County? Thank You!Yes,you would use Bordentown Simulcast for the Toms River area. There’s a sub site located at the NJDOT yard on Route 37.
Yeah, we probably should keep just one of the threads going. Man I've been listening to that system for a long, long time but it's time. This just posted. Looks like the Motorola Type II 800MHz SmartZone system is on its way out?
NJSP 800 MHz SmartZone system
The Bedminster and Vineland (aka Buena) IR sites have been decommissioned. More to follow in the near future. And thus it begins...forums.radioreference.com

I took elias1988's advice and used the Bordentown site of the NJICS P25 system for NJ State Police. Sounds like I made the right choice. Thanks for everyone's input. This just posted. Looks like the Motorola Type II 800MHz SmartZone system is on its way out?
Yes that's what I listen to, I live across the river from Bordentown in Pennsylvania. I'm right on the river, biggest thing I listen to is 10 com TG 2299, Marine Division dispatch. I live right across from Burlington Marine Division station who controls the Delaware River but most of the activity is on the Jersey Shore.I took elias1988's advice and used the Bordentown site of the NJICS P25 system for NJ State Police. The word was total "E" on all NJICS State PD .....but as of now, there is no confirmation of that still being the planHow long before NJSP switches to full encryption on NJICS? Or will they?

As it should be, same with the CIB stuff as well. Regular road patrol troopers & things of that nature I hope will stay in the clear. They already have moved certain specialized units to ENC from the 20-24 INV channels.
I see (hear) the following. On the very busy legacy Smartzone North in Union County.Expect cutover from 4.1 system to new 20.20 system to take place around the end of September.
Never was (wouldn't be a "patch" anyway). The P25 system carries traffic at sites based on affiliation to maximize efficiency.I am certain it is not hard patched all the time to any one ICS sites.
As we all know....Moto can change the date on conversion without notice. So, keeping fingers crossed that the end of Sept is still on.Kinda cool getting Ed’s feedback and seeing it slowly fade away. Can now understand what is happening now.
