From the original post, it is impossible to make any determination as to was meant by "OCPD" in the absence of additional facts that are not apparant or stated. Implied is another matter.

How do you know when he (KC2GVX) was in Atlantic City ? I didn't see any date mentioned in his post. AND, exactly when DID the info for the Ocean City Trunk System first appear on the database ?

I talk to KC2GVX on AIM quite often. I submitted the Ocean City TRS information about a month ago.

Nothing for nothing joe but they are all talking about stuff 55 miles to the SOUTH of Ocean County. Just because some one uses "OC" does not mean Ocean County. Think before you post. That is what got you in trouble the last time.

Let me Clear up

I was listening to the Ocean County Trunked System in the top floor at Harrah's. The reception was perfect, AC is only 10-15 miles from Tuckerton. As far as I knew, Ocean City was on that Pro Voice crap which nobody can hear.

Just remember the definition of ASS U ME. Plenty of research time to maximize completeness of understanding is all important for accuracy of reporting and posting. Learned that in my graduate and post-graduate writings - some of it the hard way. Listen to HULKA - for he is, as usual, correct on all counts.

So now there are four people making the same recommendations... and the number will continue to increase. So let the pattern of WAGS and DWAGS wind ever onwards for merrient of all.

To Re-Iterate what DJ88 was saying, YES AC is very low power. I used to pick them up from Southern Ocean County before they switched over to the Digital System. I have been trying to monitor them for several months now and can't get a word out of them. No Wide Awakes or nothing !

What kind of antenna are you using? I can usually pick them up in my car on a RS cell phone look alike antenna south from about Manahawkin.

When I said "low power" I was referring to the systems the casino hotels use, not the Atlantic City System. I checked the FCC Database and that system (AC) puts out 75 watts of power. Just wanted to clarify any confusion here.

I am using the ANT07 from antenna craft strapped to my chimmney on a bi-level home in Barnegat. I know it's not the antenna. I am just out of range. Manahawkin is a little closer and probably within range. Antenna Pictured here http://www.grove-ent.com/ANT7.html
